The Worst in Singapore and JB,and some even say Batam

Went down from Camp to Bugis to meet WF and gang for steamboat. The list of participants include Wenfang, Chamaine,Ferrene, Michelle, Ching, Quiling,Celest (WF's friend). WF persisted on the $10 steamboat while I suggested the $15 one.

The $10 no Fuzhou fishball,wanton and free flow of drinks. And Im a big drinker, of lime juice, had 3 glasses when the others only had 1. Nothing much to say about the steamboat place lah, just that we're surrounded by mainland Chinese. Its a trend everywhere that the chinese will have to occupy at least 50% of the tables.





And after dinner we proceeded to C.A.N cafe for some drinks. It was some dark n lousy place and WF said can go upstairs, I was hoping it would be different. End up its still lousy above. Wr ordered 4 drinks only (av of $7 per drink). I didnt place an order because im very tight this month. Wallet lah! Not down there. The waitress came back up and said "My boss say you all need to order 2 more drinks" Where got such thing? We ordered and 1 pot of tea was mine.

Other than that obligation, patrons are shifted around because their management was damn bad. 1 poor couple had to shift twice just to make space for the bigger groups. The waitress should have assigned them to their seats beforehand instead of shifting them around after they got seated. They are not sheep you know! And you are not a sheepdog!


After an hour where everybody had their drinks, I didnt have my pot of tea. I was thinking, good lor, I dont have to pay then. Called for the bill and it came up to 8 drinks! Dumb management. 2 drinks were not ours, and they didnt know whose it were. My tea was not served and I got it rectified. That was 2 trips to the cashier and around 20mins to get it all done.

Finally I went to the cashier,rather than let them come to me. The sheep have came home when they present the bill to me....I had to do it personally! Found out that the kitchen is so messy and there is only 1 manager and 2 mainland chinese waitress. Dont know how this run down place with lousy service can survice the high standards of present patrons. Well maybe thats me only.

So next time you wana go somewhere, ask me and not WF. I would bring you somewhere nice but be prepared to let your plastic do some exercise.

The Princess and the Pea

Been sleeping alone in camp for the past 3 days and its terrible. I thought it would'nt be a problem but since the first night I had trouble sleeping already. Went to bed at 9 but didnt sleep till past 1 am. Tried all sorts of methods, having a sweet drink,changing rooms,going for a walk,shaking. Still no use. :(

Wanted to go home to sleep on Tuesday but kena arrowed to set up water point before 7 am on Wednesday. That meant staying in again. But luckily I went off at the right time, or else kena another arrow to do guard duty.

All the logistics side have been clearing off days and my CQ ends the day at 10am. I was wondering why I chose to stay.

I guess my bed is the best place to sleep, with the fine sheets and soft covers to hug me to sleep. And if course not forgetting the essential, air conditioning.

Got a shock when I went to the loo on Tuesday morning. My stools were all bloodied. My mind pondered around that for the whole day thinking that I might have kidney failure or cancer. Luckily its an isolated case so I have to assume my body it too heaty after the wisdom tooth surgery and from taking small portions of food and water ever since.

Its scary to have cancer so young! I hope I wont get it this lifetime. Well not to mention HIV as well thank you!

09 July 2005 Gina and Sally's convocation day at NUS. Its the first time I wore so smart out before. Actually its quite boring, just take photos thats it. We did some shopping and had a great steamboat dinner at Bugis in the evening.

California Full of Shit. Na Bei!

Passed by Cali RP when going home this evening. Decided to go up to check on how much is the transfer fee. So I approached the counter to ask. The indian guy told me they dont do transfer anymore and if they do its for special cases ( So what? You think your doing me a favour? Im doing you guys a favour by being interested!)

So I reaffirm that I just wanted to check how much is the TRANSFER FEE. He gave me alot of crap and said only the sales staff can assist me. I asked for the sales staff but she was away for a break. He actually ask if I would want to leave my contact so she can get back to me. Then he scribbled on a piece of paper the phone number and passed it to me. But I thought they were suppose to call me? I was puzzled and asked "So im suppose to give you guys a call? Why dont she call me instead?" So dumb. Didnt want to talk to him anymore ,changed my target to the girl next to that idiot.

She told me the same thing never do transfer anymore....bla bla bla. Cheebye!

Came home, wanted to call, but the number the Idiot scribbled was illegible. I can only make out 659409XX. The name of the sales person even worse. Cannot make out what he trying to write " CIRotlo? What the fuck is that? Dumb ass! Had to check website for the phone number.

Finally squeeze the $17.50 transfer fee out from the receptionist but she was unwilling to tell me under what cases then we can do a transfer. I had to ask "So does going overseas fall under the special cases" then she said ya.

Sms Huiling and she say no need to much shit. Her sales person told her can transfer just pay the money can liao. Oi Cali employees,just tell me that and save me all the trouble can already right? Tell me so much rubbish for fuck?California so full of shit!

LRI 100% Yeay

LRI went pretty good today. Had some minor maintenance faults in the FE store but the SSG decided not to report it so it was a 100 marks for us. I helped out the LCP in the armskote,he did a sample check. Haha so easy. Didnt even need to take out all the catridges from the box!

I hope everything goes on well with the other departments and QM branch will bestow us 7 days off.

Went down to Bakerz Inn @ 1 Fullerton to apply for job as part time crew. Wanted to go to Spinellis as well but time didnt allow it. Both interview windows close at 5 pm and I only had time for 1. Bakerz Inn only paid $5/hr. But guess its the norm for F&B outlets. Maybe night life outlets will get $6. Shall see if they call and if im interested later on.

Today is the launch of MapleTree Logistics IPO. I wanted to borrow $1800 from my Mum to buy some shares but she scold me siao. :( Guess I have to wait till next time.

Shopping Frenzy At the New Mountain!

My first trip to JB without my parents yesterday. But it was with somebody else's Mother. Rosalind's mother in fact. Im ok with her lah can entertain.

As predicted by Rosalind, I got into a shopping frenzy in the first shop I stepped into, the Factory Outlet Store. I've been an idiot paying USD $29.90 for an AnF tee bought over the website when I could have bought it at FOS at 34.90 rm. Bought 2 T shirts and a pair of khaki pants I've always wanted. Its gonna be my regular shopping outlet from now on.

And I've saved $60 on O2 contact lenses bought in JB as compared to the prices in Singapore. Plus 2 more month of supply too!

Auntie Ann's pretzel cost 2.90 rm when in Singapore, its $2.90. I got my favourite cinnamon sugar. Who knows maybe it will be 29 baht in Bangkok? Secret recipe cheesecakes at 5.20rm a slic!

The queuing at customs, especially the Malaysian side was horribe. I hate queuing! But for the sake of cheap stuff , I would endure the waiting. I got a haircut too, 28 Rm. Cheap by Singapore standards but my regular saloon at Far East charges $12 only.

NKF Saga

I would consider not hating him if he shares his bounty with me. But his face really very arrogant.

I wished I was him and knew how to cover my tracks. 12 months bonus is like a dream to me! Well but a $250000 anual salary would satisfy me from the start already. $10 dropped out from my shorts today and im already feeling so worked up. Dont know which fucker picked it up. Today in my store, our friendly RQ came over for a check. Hes ok with us...like friends. Then he called this fillipino girl, I would assume shes a maid, only 23 years old. RQ put his phone on speaker mode and signaled us to keep quiet.Part of the conversation goes like:

RQ: Last week you eat my hotdog, you want to eat more hotdog?
Maid: Erm.....
RQ: I want to eat your pussy

.....(I couldnt remember the middle)

RQ: So this Sun come my house?
Maid: Ok
RQ:I wana make love to you.
Maid: *Giggles*
RQ: We make love 5 times ok?
Maid: No lar.......
RQ: Can lar. Then how many times you want?
Maid: Dont want lah 5 time! 3 4 time can lar.

Daddy Mummy Faster Come Back!

My parents are overseas on a holiday. Its bad when they are not around.

1) No newspapers (either they stopped it or it got stolen by passerbys because we got up too late to collect them)
2)Leaves all over the porch so messy.
3)My Dog shits on the porch and parents are not here to clear it.
4) My sister has a bad habit of leaving the lights on throughout night and day and I hate it (I prefer it Dark)
5) I have to eat out and whack my brains out over so many choices (I hate to choose)

Hope they are comming back tommorrow.

Say A Little Prayer For Me

Day by day, I pray that I wont kena any duties for the comming week. I actually thought my duties will start on 24th of june but they didnt include my name. So now i'll just cross my fingers and hope they dont realise or if there are any fuckers who are going to pao toh me I hope they forget all about it. It I can tahan till the 18th of Aug....haha I'll be a free man. Well almost free just without the pink IC.

Wild Durian

Where I stepped into the office this morning there was this faint smell of Durians. I thought somebody had eaten Durian the day before. It lingered there the whole day.

In the afternoon Sgt Koh wanted the key to the room beside it, and I gave it to him. I followed him and Wow.....there were Durians there. Wild Durians plucked from the forest opposite our camp. I have seen people walking out of it with Durians as well. But it doesnt seem to be ripe because they were plucked, didnt fall by themselves.

Ive never eaten wild durians before,wonder how it tastes like.

Stories From The Other Side

This afternoon when all of our family were sitting around the table, they started talking about my Grandmother visiting us tonight and it lead to ghost stories my Grandma told my Uncle's wife.
Story 1

When my Aunty was young,they used to stay in a relative's house in Newton. The house has only 1 toilet which is a separate building in the kitchen compound. She said the house was eerie and they dont dare to run about. They always hear a girl crying in the toilet at night. Grandmother is particulary afraid of these dirty stuff and has been looking for a place to move out to.

The last straw was then the relative's brother came back to stay with them. I dont know why they were suppose to look after him for 3 days and 3 nights. Probably a Monk or Priest knew what was going to happen. He didnt live past the 3rd night.

He hanged himself in the same toilet and not long after that, my Grandmother's family moved away.

Story 2

My Grandmother used to teach in Ai Tong School. There is always this boy hiding his face behind his textbook and my Grandmother was puzzled. One day she asked him "为什么你要躲在书的后面?"
He replied "老师我怕"
My grandmother was puzzled "你怕什么?老师 又没骂你."
"老师我不是怕你,我是怕你后面那个!"

These Sweet Innocence

My cousin Joshua showing off his tricks with Andrea's hoop. Shes so willing to share...so cute but a very fast learner. Comes to my Grandma's house to ask for sweets, better than me, I used to ask for a dollar.

This is Andrea, she talks alot but mostly repeats what is being said. Shes only 2. 5 years old but when asked, she said 5 years old. Haha so comical.


Her younger sister Alicia, she chuckles and does her own stuff. Plays with herself most of the time mostly because the other 2 kids are running too fast for her to catch up.

They are both kids of my Grandma's neighbour who is only 25 years old. Both our mums said we used to play together when we were kids but I could'nt remember a thing. She has 2 kids now, and me? I dont think I'll get any in the near future but they are just so adorable!

The Very Last Pages

Finally closed the chapter of my Grandma's last physical day . We bought her a condo unit in the monastery because the free ones really sucked. She definitely deserved better! After everything ended my relatives, including my mother too, become 4D fanatics! Tomorrow shes going to buy a range of numbers ranging from her urn unit number to the receipt number. She said she would share with me if any of it strikes. Hope she does!

My Dad was spooked when the monk said old spirits will bully new spirits and will rob them of their offerings. Why Buddhist believes such morbid stuff? No spirit police? Hope she gets the offerings.
