The Day @ the Hospital

Went to see an eye specialist today. For those who known me well enough, or have been nose to nose with me will realize that I have a growth on my eyeball. It was an injury that I sustained while sitting on a swing while holding a sharp stick. Totally brainless I know! So I was swinging and swinging until it hit my eye. That was in primary 4 and I didn't dare tell my parents to avoid another scolding. Now it looks like a blood clot but the doctor said its a growth. I don't care what is it my main concern is to get it removed for vanity reasons.

So the op will be performed in Jan. The procedure will be roughly like:

*Please be warned that the following description will be abit morbid in content*

1. Remove the piece of growth
2a. Leave the hole raw and it will grow back or
2b: Stitch the hole ( but how to stitch the eyeball?) or
2c: Cut a piece of flesh from another side of the eyeball and stitch it on the raw side

It sounds disgusting to me and I will be awake through out the whole op. Which means I can see the scalpel going down on my eye.....I freaked out. But what to do? I want to be beautiful....

So I shall see if I have photos I can post here to make you guys puke out whatever you had for the last meal. :/ hahaha *Grins*

Rainy Day @ Sentosa

I don't understand why people like to play volley ball. The ball hitting your wrist is so painful. Its like purposely banging your bones on concrete. Perhaps is the unique personality in me that makes me hate sports. I don't know why soccer is so interesting also. Im only interested when I laid money on which side will win. To me, kayaking is better (provided there is an engine I can switch to when im exhausted).

Sports are dangerous... Isn't it better to read a book at home? Its almost impossible to get injured redecorating your room or laying in bed. Yar lah im lazy but what to do.

Was in Sentosa today to 'celebrate' Charmaine's 'birthday'. Rained after we arrived. We had to walk in the rain. I stood in the shelter most of the time while the rest played with the boys. How to play in the rain? Not uncomfortable meh? I wished I was home with a mug of hot milk at that moment. Was'nt a great outing lah anyway. Well maybe next time when its not raining and when I can kayak. Again, I may complain its too hot, bring portable fan and kayak with a portable propeller !

Money with Wings

Feeling damned pissed off with myself. Broke my glasses again. I don't know how many times have I done this but its definitely not the first time. I was on my bed and rolled over my spectacles. Its the frame that broke. But how can titanium break? I don't understand too. Superglue has no effect on it. Now have to go make a new pair. What a waste of money!

The Saturday that I didn't rest

Woke up at 8 to accompany Mum to the market. Well I wanted to go to Isetanto buy some stuff so I thought I could use a lift and accompany her as well, coz Dad is in BKK. Had to bring my Grandma's maid to do a routine check up while my Mum was buying the groceries. The rest of the day my itinery had been like:

8 am: Wake up
9am: @ the market
11am: Back home having Brunch
12 noon : Contractors came to see wall area for painting @ new house
1 pm : @ Wardijia to buy furniture
4 pm: @ Nam Hwa and Sim Siang Chun buying sanitary ware
8pm: Dinner @ Fish n Co Tamp
9.30 pm: Home sweet home

Well at Wardijia, I bought a 6 drawer chest. Well Mum paid for it at $498. Its solid teak wood and very heavy. I might have bought it on impulse because it was the last piece in the warehouse. But paying that price for a teakwood furniture was worth it I guess. Mummy bought a wall ornament for her client and a computer table for herself.

The place was quite crowded. I saw many nice pieces but they have a sold tag on them. So I began to panic, what if the piece I liked was sold and is not available anymore? The chest was one of them but I asked the workers to check if they have more ,they did! Last piece @ the warehouse.I went home feeling satisfied that all I wanted for my new room are in order.

At dinner, I had to finish the seafood platter for 2 coz my Mum said she was full with anger after having a quarrel with my Sister. I shall not go into what was the topic. Before that, my sister was unhappy with the service and she tends to show it. I dont understand why cant they be more refined as in to be patient and take things in their stride? Her boyfriend suggested that she throw her tantrum and throw the plates on the floor. I don't know if its a joke or hes serious. I prefer to sit and put up with all unless its really really very bad. If nothing concerns me I shall not probe into it.

It would be a peaceful world if everybody is like me huh. Haha yucks!

The witches concoction

Went to Tampines Mall with Gina this afternoon. As I was there early, I was loitering around the interchange and walked past this herbal store. So I asked for a cup of drink to cure my flu. The sinseh said u must have bitter tea , not cooling tea. So I thought about it and on the hope that it will make me recover, I agreed. She put a tea bag, poured hot water in it. After came 2 scoops of black powder and a scope of brown powder. The concoction was prepared and I drank it like a man! Well after that I couldn't tahan the after taste and bought some orange peel to chew on. The tea was no cheap ok, $3. I should have ordered chrysanthemum tea instead.

While waiting for Gina, I was looking at the crowd in the interchange. That bloody Malay crap is still touting his 'fake' donation tickets. Well I only saw 2 out of 10 people he approached buying it . Well their money went into buying a new hi fi set for that Malay man maybe?

There was this middle age uncle who was holding a blind man's cane walking very fast. Very obvious that he can see but why is he holding the cane? Im positive its a blink man's cane coz its red and while colored. Cant be a candy cane right? Another little girl was using her 'Happy Meal' paper box to function as her hat and she was being tugged away by her grandmother. Shes really happy parading in her new hat lor.

How amusing it can be just sitting at the interchange for 20 minutes.

Eucalyptus + Herb Blend Essential Oil = Brandy

I had been using the Eucalyptus essential oil after buying it in aid of my constantly dripping nose. I was trying a different combination today by adding few drops of eucalyptus and a drop of herb blend and it smelt like Brandy. Might be due to my partially blocked nose.

Well did you know you have to drink a lot of water and keep the room ventilated when using Aromatherapy? I didn't too until the auntie selling me the oil showed me the reference book she had. Ah now you know!

Lonely Morning

Ok so im suppose to go to JB with Krison and Beven. No news from Krison yet and Beven's still sleeping I guess. That leaves me to my computer the whole morning then.

Well lets talk about last night then. Went to east coast for sea food. Its the first time I had Sri Lankan Crab and gosh the claws were huge. And I still can eat crab with 1 finger in bandage, amazing! During the dinner, my Dad saw his classmate who turns out to be the owner of the restaraunt. But he look really old, alot of wrinkles. I hope my dad got youthful genes so that I can have them too. Dont need Botox next time. Because of his classmate, we got 2 VIP cards, free desert and a $30 voucher. Quite a good deal considering we were already using a $50 voucher which makes a dinner for 5 @ only $80+ dollars.

Peeled off the bandage on my finger and the wound had sealed. Was very afraid it will open and blood will start flowing again. Thank God its alrite.

The Kitchen Massacre

This morning I was trying to cut open a packet of calamari rings I just bought back. Without glasses on, I tried to tear the plastic open with a knife. The knife went through, and I felt something surging through my finger. It was an instinct to flick the finger and....... blood splattered across my face n over the kitchen counter. The blood was thick, deep red and was flowing like a tap. I must have cut a vein in the finger. Pity I couldn't find the camera if not you guys will be in for a treat. I had trouble keeping the blood on halt too.

Went to my family doctor to have it dressed. $26 sia! So expensive I expected it would cost around $8. Now doctors really earn a lot. After the experience, Im disappointed that a talented cook like me would cut his own finger and proud as well, coz my blood is very healthy:Proven by its colour and amount.

I watched the movie 'Shutter' last night. It was a great show...I shouted out twice in the beginning part of the show. It was already scary enough and the idiot beside me was like jerking whenever he got shocked. So its like the playstation, you get extra excitement when the gamepad vibrates. I was the only one who shouted.....the only MALE! So sia suay! Well the other parts of the movie I was covering my eyes, if not, watching with the corner of my eye. Very recommended show!

Home After 9 Days

Im home!! Finally, and im glad about it. For the past week,I was in Jurong Island doing an operational duty. Its like those soldiers you see at the Airport but this in operation,we are protecting an island port. I dont really know what's inside because didnt really have a chance to venture inside.

Everyday, the routine for me would be:

0300 hrs : Wake up
0330 hrs : Move off to collect rations
0430 hrs : Back with rations proceed to sleep
0930 hrs : Wake up
1000 hrs : Move off to collect rations
1100 hrs : Back with rations proceed to sleep
1530 hrs : Wake up
1600 hrs : Move off to collect rations
1700 hrs : Back with rations proceed to sleep

Any other extra jobs in between is ferrying irritating people(who cant take a cab) to and fro from camp and collecting of diesel from a camp . Made an interesting discovery from there as well. Do you know that Diesel is blue in colour? A very inviting blue that would make a very pretty pool.

So im gonna be free these few days. Got to plan the layout of my new room and start sourcing for furniture.

Night and Day

Like the beat beat beat of the tom-tom
When the jungle shadows fall
Like the tick tick tock of the stately clock
As it stands against the wall

Like the drip drip drip of the raindrops
When the summer shower is through
So a voice within me keeps repeating
You, you, you

Night and day, you are the one
Only you beneath the moon or under the sun
Whether near to me, or far
It's no matter darling where you are
I think of you
Day and night, night and day, why is it so

That this longing for you follows wherever I go
In the roaring traffic's boom
In the silence of my lonely room
I think of you
Day and night, night and day

Under the hide of me
There's an oh such a hungry yearning burning inside of me
And this torment won't be through
Until you let me spend my life making love to you
Day and night, night and day

TQ Video

One of the videos used for NUS talent quest. Its funny seeing myself on the video. Haha. Right click to save and view. Well enjoy!

Not a Lazy Sunday !

Came back from live range. Well i didnt fire, but just supplied the guys with food (dinner for Saturday and Sunday's breakfast). Have to stay in the field till 5 in the evening. The night before,it was cold and I developed breathing difficulties. One of the friends my cough brought with it. Managed only to sleep 3 hours after my breathing resumed at 7 am when its warmer. The afternoon was terrible, damn hot. Its like a oven in the tonner, and the mosquitoes were showing no mercy.I had bites all over including the part above my bum and my fingers.

Went to see the new house in the evening. God I thinked it was horrid. The rooms were no bigger than the one Im bunking in now and the view.......just cant describe it. Why cant I just stay in my current place? Eileen said there was a walk in waldrobe, Helo! Its only 2 square feet wide how to put my clothes? On the overall the area is smaller than what I have now. Smaller garden, smaller porch, smaller living room. The view of the back is that of the backside of other houses. The only thing bigger is my sister's room,no wonder she's happy with it lar. Well have to start designing my room before they start moving in.
