GST 7%?

Singapore's goods and services tax (GST) will be raised from 5 per cent to 7 per cent, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced in Parliament today.

Fuck you la money suckers! Really pay and pay. Just increase from 3% to 5% in the last 5 years now want to increase again. Might as well put 10%? Then I got to pay 10% service charge 1% ciss 7% GST. Whats the matter with you people?

Responding to issues raised by MPs, who are debating on the President's address, PM Lee said that the GST increase would help finance enhanced social safety nets to help lower-income Singaporeans.

You mean you havent collected enough money form tobacco and alcohol? Its not enough money for you?! But well, rationally since they raise taxes, I would have to spend my money elsewhere, like in Thailand and Hong Kong. Decrease in consumption, I see how Singapore survives with a lower circulation of money and high cash outflows.
